Yes our K9 can sniff out Black Mold! Stachybotrus, also known as “Black Mold” isn’t the only culprit that can make you sick, though. All mold can be toxic in certain quantities.

Why use a mold dog service instead of traditional ERMI testing?

Certified mold dogs have over a 90% accuracy finding mold compared to only a 70% accuracy with ERMI testing. ERMI Testing tells you there is mold, whereas Bacon can pinpoint exactly where the problem lies without drilling holes or causing property damage. This will save you time and money before committing to further remediation or testing. 

Yes, please do! Even after leaks are repaired, mold can start to form within 24 hours of water contact. A quick search from Bacon can confirm whether remediation was successful.

Mold dogs are trained to detect the scent of active and inactive mold gases called mVOC’s that all mold species produce. However, for species identification, lab testing will be needed.

No special preparation is needed before Bacon gets to work. If you have any household pets, we recommend keeping them outside the inspection area until we are done.

While inspection time varies depending on the size and layout of your property, most inspections take approximately 1–1.5 hours. We take the time to be thorough and attentive, while respecting your schedule and keeping the process as convenient as possible.
